How Rosemary Went from 2 to 8 Clients With Social Media Consulting
Listen to the Audio Version Below:
In this episode of Simplify to Thrive, I sit down with my client Rosemary Philips, owner of a marketing consultancy, to talk about what it really takes to grow a service-based business sustainably without being chained to your laptop 24/7.
When Rosemary first joined my coaching program in October, she was working with two clients, but like many talented service providers, she was doing everything. Website builds, logos, branding, social media management, you name it. While she had the skills, the lack of focus made it difficult to scale, charge confidently, or create a lifestyle that felt aligned.
Fast forward less than a year later, and Rosemary has gone from 2 clients to 8 clients, completely reshaped her offers, and built a business that supports her life.
In this conversation, Rosemary shares the behind-the-scenes mindset shifts and strategic changes that allowed her to grow.
One of the biggest turning points was niching down. After going through the program and experimenting with multiple strategies, Rosemary realized that trying to do everything wasn’t serving her or her clients. She narrowed her focus to social media consulting and social media management, while still offering select branding and website work only when it made sense.
This clarity helped her streamline her services, position herself as an expert, and confidently raise her rates.
Another major evolution in her business was adding consulting offers alongside done-for-you services. As budgets tightened for many businesses, consulting allowed Rosemary to support clients without taking on more execution work. She now offers structured monthly consulting calls, strategy sessions, and gentle upsells into management when clients are ready, creating more income with less time spent.
We also dive into systems and time management, specifically time blocking. By dedicating specific days to specific types of work, management, consulting, content creation, Rosemary eliminated context switching and reclaimed her schedule. Some client work that once took weeks can now be completed in an hour.
This episode is a powerful reminder that growth doesn’t have to mean more stress. With the right model, mindset, and support, your business can truly support the life you want.
